I had never really listened to them before, but I had heard they put on some pretty awesome live shows. Tickets were $15 for their show here at WVU so I got a ticket for my friend and me. The show was Sunday evening and it was on bt.etree.org within 24 hours! If anyone's interested its here, http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=12000
I was totally blown away. I've never been a fan of the jam band scene, but to be honest I've never taken the time to listen. After seeing this show I am a permanent moe. fan. They played two sets, 1 1/2 hrs each, which kinda surprised me. I was thinking before the show they wouldn't give it "their all" being in a small venue (mountainlair ballroom) and being in Morgantown, WV. During their encore they played Karma Police! I lost my voice at that point, lol. They really were much much better than i expected, i don't really know what I expected, but you know what i mean. So if there are any moe. fans out there I'd like to hear about your experiences, and also, being an amature moe. fan, I was wondering if that set list looked any good.

Never seen them live, a friend of mine did a couple weeks ago in chicago and he said it was awesome. a friend of his is a huge huge moe fan. if you get a chance pick up their latest studio cd called wormwood, its really good. all music was created live then played in the studio, and vocals were layed over that.

If you ever get a chance check out Umphrey's Mcgee they are THE jamband. I've seen em live 3 times and they get better each time. If you want to check out some of their stuff check out archive.org

my buddy is a huge fan, they have some good tunes but why are jam band vocals so shitty?

Unfortunately, it's so elementary, and the big time investors behind the drive in the stock market aren't so stupid. This isn't the false economy of 2000.
i downloaded some of their official live stuff..their cover of the weight completely blows away the band's version..and i really like the band's version

I saw these guys with my dad once. it was the day layne staley was found dead. The did a quick dedication to him. they played for about 3 1/2 hours, at which point I asked my dad if we could leave. I felt bad. they were good, but I had to work the next day. They showed no signs of ever stopping.

Those drives only have 256 kbps bitrate MP3s. In case you are wondering. Had a couple of friends (big moe. fans) listening to the show via a stream and they said it was a great show.

I'll see what I can do. I'd bet the show will be up on archive.org before the day is over.
