I think this is "new."

That makes me think of "Fopp" by Soundgarden, only no fun.

Has anyone tried cutting out the gaps and reposting?

I'd love to know how old Ed is here. The voice is there without the later affectations. kinda cool to hear.

Interesting stuff.

Anyone else think it was Michael Jackson singing at first? Sounds a bit like Jackson during the first line and then again on certain words throughout the song. Every now and then we also get a peak at what he would go on to sound like in 1991.

I thought it was good at first but then I was like, man, this song sucks.
And I like Leash, Daughter, Gone, Amongst the Waves, and The Fixer. :haha:

What if the Pearl Jam we knew now wrote all the songs that they have written together.... but they were called The Butts.

Do you think their career would be drastically different?

^My friend told me that Kurt Cobain wanted his band to be called Dirty Diaper, but Sub Pop made him choose Nirvana instead. I'm fairly certain that story is horseshit, but it'd still be funny if the world or rock music was changed by a band called Dirty Diaper instead of Nirvana. Just a good thing Fecal Matter never struck it big...

Or Mookie Blaylock, for that matter...

"The Butts were one of the forerunners of the Seattle grunge explosion, joining contemporaries Dirty Diaper in pioneering the rough, pared-down sound and emotionally barren, or alternatively anguished lyrics, that defined Generation X and proved pervasive through the next decade of alternative rock."

man, things would have been so different!
