Last night at the Crocodile in Seattle was amazing. Small venue, packed crowd, lots of singing. It was hot, sweaty, loud and rocking. I felt I needed a cigarette when it was done.
45 was so much better live than studio, way more punch to it. Brian Fallon was relaxed and pretty funny. He just seems likethe happiest guy in the world when he's on stage and singing. The encore was foot to the floor. Catch tem if you can on this small club tour.

They're not the best band in the world but damn, they are my favourite at the moment.
Yep, I know they're not the best band but I love seeing them. I've been lucky enough to see them a bunch in the past few years and this was probably my second favorite show. Just a ridiculous setlist/performance (http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-gasli ... cb7f5.html). I can't wait to see them in the spring (or maybe in the winter).

I'm torn. I really like a lot of the songs (most, if not all of them actually) but overall the record doesn't seem to live up to its predecessors. If this was the first Gaslight Anthem album and I was listening in a vacuum I'd probably give it 5 stars - there are a lot of very catchy/familiar rock songs here - but since I know they can do better it is a bit disappointing. I haven't heard the bonus tracks yet though.

I love this band. I never thought they would top "the '59 Sound" but I think they may have. I've been listening to this non stop since last Friday. All I want to do is listen to it.
45 is amazing. great lyrics. Handwritten - same thing. Too Much Blood - best on the album? National Anthem is sweet. Teenage Rebellion should be on the regular version, not just the Delux.
The only thing I don;t like is the you got lucky cover. I skip it.
