I remember one of their videos where Art was whining about something or another, and he said "Superman poster on the wall" and I thought to myself that it was a horrible lyric. |

Sparkle and Fade is a really good album. They went pear-shaped after the American Music-stuff methinks. |

i've owned 2 of their cd's in my lifetime, one i bought, one stolen from my cousin...which was sparkle and fade, which is a decent album...but for the most part, i don't like this band much at all |

Sparkle & Fade and Songs from an American Movie Pt. 2 are good, but the two albums in between suck (So Much for the Afterglow and SFAAM Pt. 1). The radio hits from those albums (Father of Mine, I Will Buy You a New Life, Wonderful) are awful. |

Sparkle & Fade was a really good album. I actually bought it just to impress a girl in 8th grade, and I ended up really digging it. The songs are about leaving this fucking small town, drugs, overdosing, California etc etc...its was good rock... As far as I know all they do now is happy, poppy stuff... blah! Even "Father of Mine" which is sad, has that blah Everclear pop sound |
