So long as there aren't famous song titles in the lyrics and it isn't some grand political opera with piano ballads and strings, I'd like to see them change up their style and strip things down again. It almost reminds me of the vibe from Warning.

if that is a taste of the music, then I am excited.

The best thing they've done since Warning is still the Foxboro Hottubs. I'll probably never listen to 21st Century Breakdown again.

It kind of sounds like Maroon 5.

Yup.

half a minute's not enough to judge. Worldwide Suicide sounded a lot better as a full song than as a half minute, iirc.

Life wasted sounded fine as a snippet. It still is fine as a whole song.

'Live To Rise' sounded pretty bland and boring as a snippet. It's still pretty bland and boring now.

We have a whole hook here, a drum rhythm, a set of chords, all of which are boring. I highly doubt the whole song will be vastly different.

It may not be enough to judge the full song, but it is enough to say "that half minute sounds like Franz Ferdinand".

that sounds decent to my ears, although once Billy Joe opens his mouth I'll lose interest.

Credit where credit is due, however. 3 albums in 3 months is pretty awesome
