OK, so I bought The Beatles Anthology Volumes 1 2 & 3 on an inpulse, becaus my collection is void of anything Beatles.

OH MAN !

they pretty much kick ass. any reccomendations on what studio albums I should get first ?

I hear Revolver is probably their best.

Abbey Road for sure. The White Album. Sgt. Pepper's Lonet Hearts Club Band is great. Revolver...DUH!

I love The Beatles!

Some of my favorite songs that PJ/Ed covers are Beatles tunes.

Start with Revolver. It's a good mix of their more poppy stuff and their experimental tracks.

1. Revolver
2. Abbey Road
3. Rubber Soul
4. Sgt. Pepper's
5. Help!
6. The White Album
7. Magical Mystery Tour
8. A Hard Day's Night
9. Beatles For Sale
10. With The Beatles
11. Please Please Me

Skip Yellow Submarine altogether.

all of the regular ones honestly. they really are all great albums, though post-rubber soul albums are a little better than pre-rubber soul albums

3) Magical Mystery Tour
4) Revolver
5) Sgt. Peppers
6) White Album
7) Past Masters #2
8) Beatles For Sale
9) Help
10) Hard Day's Night
11) Past Masters #1
12) Please Please Me
13) With The Beatles

I would go with Revolver, probably my favorite. White Album and Abbey Road are great too.

I'm just posting here again to say... fuck. I LOVE THE BEATLES!
*sigh* they're just sooo good. My mum bought me this really cool bag with them on it yesterday, it's the coolest thing ever.

Yes, I'm not too fond of the first bunch of songs, but it gets progressively better as the album goes on.
