Why would ATP get cancelled? Poor sales?

Well, I'm probably being paranoid, but part of their production company went into liquidation earlier this year (though they tried to play it off as restructuring) and the ATP in Japan recently got cancelled.

I also find it kind of curious that, since this was announced in August, they haven't announced any further artists for the bill - they originally claimed a second announcement would be following in less than two weeks, but nothing's happened since and it's nearly November.

I think this has sold okay, the Saturday night is sold out even if weekend and Sunday passes haven't, so it'll probably go ahead - but I'm leaning towards the standalone MBV show regardless.

And you're not concerned about missing all the other acts?

Not really.

I mean, Swans would be nice to see, but nothing's really on the same level as MBV for me.

We'll see, I'll think it over.

Hey Spenno, I read MBV are about to release a record. Saw them live once. Wear ear protection. Seriously.

Haha, yeah - I've been forewarned! Volume is certainly part of their thing.

I'll definitely bring plugs, I'm always wary about damaging my ears.

I remember it actually being painfully loud. So much so it was distracting. We hadn't any protection none of us. Ears felt like they were being fucked by knives.

Be interested to hear new music from them though.

For those of you on the edge of your seat, I sold my ticket to this event for a handsome sum.

Going to see MBV in Melbourne the following weekend.
