I need more Dead C albums before making any definitive statement, but for all of their latter day inconsistency, it's hard to beat the glorious noise of 80s Sonic Youth.
I bought a ticket to the Saturday night, but I'll very likely sell it if MBV announce an Adelaide show (especially since I'm already flying to Melbourne to see Radiohead in November). The venue does look pretty awesome though, even has its own bowling alley.

Well, apparently the Saturday night tickets sold out in less than 15 minutes today at the general on-sale - rather glad I bought one during the pre-sale now.

Correction: tix still on sale, but I don't think there's tons left. They were unavailable earlier today but I gather a lot of people had purchasing/website issues and lots of orders didn't complete.
The more I mull this over, the more I'm leaning towards going to this and forgoing Radiohead in November (since I can't realistically do both right now). That line-up in a reasonably-sized venue (5k capacity) vs 15k for Radiohead...eh, I reckon I'll have more fun at ATP.
Only have a Saturday night ticket right now, and I don't know how I'd talk my wife into spending an entire weekend away (not to mention myself), so I kind of hope they don't add somebody mind-blowing to the Sunday night line-up as well.

I'm crossing my fingers that some of these bands will pass through my neighbourhood too.
Godspeed sideshows just announced for Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, zeb.
Aapparently a Sydney show for MBV is a dead lock, though it wouldn't take a genius to figure that out, hopefully they'll do others too. If they came to Adelaide...I guess I'd see 'em twice!

I just bought a ticket to the Melbourne MBV sideshow.
I'm really way more excited about MBV than anything else on the bill - and the sideshow is in a small(ish) theatre, not at a festival. Plus, it's in the city, not out in the suburbs somewhere.
So, while I've now got a ticket to both, I'm only going to end up attending one (and it's probably going to be the MBV show). I also have a nagging fear that ATP might get cancelled, so that's weighing on my mind a little.
