Who is that singing backup on WWS (AOL Session)? At first it sounds like maybe a previously recorded backup track of ed, but later on in the song it sounds like someone else. It really doesn't sound much like Stone, and the voice singing is turned up nearly as loud as ed, so I don't think it's jeff (as his backup singing is usually turned down quite a bit). I think it might either be Matt or *gasp* MIKE?!?!?!?!!?
I don't know, I'm probably just hoping for Mike, it really could be any of them.

I don't know. I was wondering the same thing. It's just eddie layering his vocals on the album, right?
These new songs are really going to depend on the other guys in the band stepping up on backing vocals. Stone's usually pretty good, but since there is so much layering they'll need to reproduce at least some of that live

I've never heard Matt sing but I've been sorta able to hear something from backup at LATG and it sounds like he could. I don't like Jeff's but I love Mike and Stone's. I hope its Mike or Matt.

I thought for some reason that it was Stone. It wasn't a previously recorded track, I can assure you of that. Doing stuff like that with band like Pearl Jam would be a disaster. If their tempo were off even a little bit (like it was in the AOL Sessions) it'd sound completely off. It was done live. By who? No idea.

Yeah, its Matt. He's not dead on, but his singing abilities and his ability to do it while playing drums is pretty damn good. Listen to a WWC record. And watch a DVD. He's usually the one tackling the harmonies cause he's better than Mike, Jeff, & Stone at it.
