musically it reminds me of Floyd's "Welcome To The Machine" a bit at the start, and Ed's vocal melody during the verse reminded me of "Killing Moon" by Echo & The Bunnymen.
it takes quite a while to really get interesting imo, but the payoff is def worth it. hoping it's a lot better live.
