i'd say the first one is one of the best 37 movies of all time.

And actually, I enjoyed The Lost World more, strangely enough. III was awful, though.

Actually, horror as a whole is really uneven genre. I just don't usually mention the bad ones. I'd say about 20% of the ones I've seen rank among my favorite films, 50% are highly enjoyable, and 30% are just crap.
