I'm a Reds fan, but I am afraid the next couple of years will be painful. Hopefully the new ownership decides to spend some money and be field a winning team. There are going to be a lot of 9-7 baseball games for the Reds this summer.

That Brandon Phillips is really impressive. He can hit!
he really isn't a good hitter. expect him to cool off big time.
He was a huge prospect when he was coming up in the expos system. I must have fallen asleep. I didn't realize he was with the Reds these days. He was a part of one of the worst trades that you never hear about. Half a season of Bartolo Colon for Grady Sizemore, Cliff Lee, and Brandon Phillips.

he was a huge prospect, and then he was traded to the indians. his D was great and everyone thought his bat would develop, it just never did. and now he's with the reds and hitting like crazy for some reason, i just don't think it'll last. check out his minor league stats.
Maybe his hitting won't last, but I've seen him hit quite a few balls very hard. I mean, these aren't just balls that are floating over the shortstop's head for a lucky single, he has been lacing the ball all over the place.
