MITS is easily my favorite song off this new cd. I've had it on repeat for quit a while now. Can;t seem to get enough of it.
That damn chorus is sooooo gooooood.

And as a whole...PJ amazed me again. They just don't quit.
Congrats for another fine job. Might be their best.

welcome to the board :) I think that chorus is one of the best things they've ever written, although I still haven't listened with the lyrics in front of me.

thank you...
Someone before posted what looks pretty good to me:

There is a marker..no one sees it ‘cause the sand
Has covered over all the messages it kept
Misunderstanding, what original truth was
And out expanding, in a faith, but not in love

What went wrong?

Walking tightrope high over moral ground
Seeing visions of falling up somehow
Do come down

With the living let what is living love
So unforgiving, yet needing forgiveness first

God, what do you say?

Those undecided needn’t have faith to be free
And those misguided, there was a plan for them to be
Now you got both sides claiming killing in god’s name
But god is nowhere to be found, conveniently

What goes on?

Walking tightrope high over moral ground
Walk the bridges before you burn them down
Do come round

With the living let what is living love
unforgiving, yet needing forgiveness first

God, what do you say? What do you say?

I feel a sickness. A sickness coming over me
Like watching freedom being sucked straight out to sea
And the solution? Well, from me far would it be
But the delusion is feeling dangerous to me

What goes wrong?

Walking tightrope high over moral ground
Seeing visions of falling up somehow
Do come down

With the living, let what is living love
Are forgiving, yet needing forgiveness first

What do you say? God, what do you say?
What do you say?

Calling out, calling out
Calling out, calling out

I think with this thread we've given one to every song on the new record.

I'm just not sure how this kind of song will fit live. It's got a tempo that I'm just not sure how to work it into a live set.
But, regardless I think it's going to be a crowd favorite.
Would also love to hear it on SNL.

WWS is "Pearl Jam", and when they released it i knew it was good and it would be accepted, but i dont htink it really caught anyones attention as a rebirth...sorta like a reappearance...had they released MITS, i think people would be salivating even more and it would have showed more growth from the people who think this is their first CD since Ten or Vs..

I wonder if there will be a radio groundswell on any of the tracks they don't release as singles---a la elderly woman, black, betterman, RVM, and corduroy

I could see 'Gone' and 'Come Back' (edited) getting good airplay regardless if they're singles, maybe the album's 'Better Man' (or 'Better Men', to be more precise, heh).

MitS would be a cool single. I'd love to hear a clean version. The one I have is terrible and the song is still awesome. This is the one song off the new album (along with come back) that I really want to hear live.

I must agree this is an absolutely amazing song. If I had a clear version of it, it maybe my new favorite from the album. It has such a Yield sound and feel to it that it's crazy.
