Did we ever figure out how the entire album leaked this thursday/ friday? Was it a RM'er? I am just curious how it happened this time. Whoever leaked it had the good sense to encode it using Lame 3.92 in VBR format, a good thing for sure.

Also, were the mixes on the 6 original songs that leaked a couple of weeks ago any different on this leak then the first one? I can't tell the difference.

that answer doesn t say much. Bit Torrent is a file dissemination format, not a "source" Sure, whoever leaked it USED BT to spread it, but I want to know how it got to BT.

I believe it was an intentional leak. Any monkey can properly rip a cd and it would sound a million times better than these files. They had to be purposely f'd up.

becuase it is definently not recorded by standing in from of a stereo or over the phone.

by that logic, pearl jam and itunes must have leaked it because of the quality of wws and unemployable. the leaker just took the 6 songs already out and couples them with the rest because the 6 out are better quality than the new ones.

it's because those first 6 unmastered tracks that leaked (the one w/ the Severed Hand glitch) are the same in this version, just piecemealed together.

Think about it, as someone said earlier, the quality of the leak is just crappy enough that you're going to get a good preview, but still want to buy the album in May. Also, consider this:

1. when Yield leaked on Napster in 1998, the quality of the audio was similar to this quality, I remember them sounding washed and almost mono

2. Comatose still has that weird skip at the 3:00 mark, suggesting whoever leaked the first 6 track sampler leaked this full album. The 6 track sampler was supposedly only for execs within J records, not the outside public. Could it be the same leaker works at J records?

I really want to hear what others think about the source of this leak. We take leaks for granted, and never really question where they came from, which I think is always cool to know. If it was PJ, I lose respect because this is a shameless industry way of building buzz, like Eminem did, U2 did with Pop in 1996, and a host of others.
