Apparently some player died in real life, and as a tribute his guild gathered in the game to send off a coffin as some sort of symbolic gesture. While this was all happening, another guild came over and killed all the gatherers. This is the video:

That guild that got slaughtered put up almost no resistance. Were they all noobs?

I don't really know much about this whole game, but that is just low.

i honestly don't get it.... never played a game like this. someone care to give a quick explanation of what it's all about. I'm guessing you play other people online, and if you get killed, you are killed? (AKA not like Mario Brothers where you get multiple lives / continues?)

A guy who regularly played the game died in real life. So his friends decided to pay tribute in the game, by having a their characters put on a funeral for the guy's character. Another "guild" (as the groups of allies are apparently called) took this as an opportunity to basically slaughter the dead kid's entire team.

I had no idea what was going on. The whole thing seems entirely too nerdy.

The story is funnier than the video itself...but damn, that's one of the funniest things I've ever heard happening on the internet...I guess that makes me a huge nerd, but whatever.

There is just too much to dissect in that video and everything associated to it to post after only one viewing. I'm speechless--there are so many facets of that to mock.

1. The time needed to create that video.

Dude, don't even try. It transcends the actual act of mocking. It's just...there are no words...

They should've sent a poet.

If all that guild died of cancer in real life, I wouldn't bat an eyelash. These people make me want to believe in Hell.

There is no good in humanity. We're all just viruses with shoes.

We should have a WoW thread. I've never played it but my buddy has two roommates who play it just about every waking hour.

Well, at least I should've been nice enough to say that there's no good in fucking Blizzard gaming twerps. I'd forgotten why I avoided WoW like the plague when it came out; I've been reminded in full now.

Anyone know how DDO is going lately?

I resent that.
