I was thinking along the lines of isolation and the strength found in unity, but that's a great interpretation as well.

I was thinking along the lines of the vegetable (?) that gets turned into guacamole, but I've never been a huge symbolism guy. Being a math major will do that to you.

Actually, it looks like the same avocado. Look at the markings, especially on the bottom. If you put the two together, they match up.
