okay it's from the mid 90's but i always thought it was a bit of corporate grunge bull shit, but then i found out what it was about and i had a moment of "oh now i see",
Tomorrow-Silver Chair here's the lyrics
It's twelve o'clock, and it's a wonderful day.
I know you hate me, but I'll ask anyway.
Won't you come with me, to a place in a little town.
The only way to get there's to go straight down.
There's no bathroom, and there is no sink.
The water out of the tap is very, hard to drink,
Very hard to drink.
You, wait til tomorrow
You, wait til tomorrow
You say that money, isn't everything,
But I'd like to see you live without it.
You think you can keep on going living like a king.
Oohh babe, but I strongly doubt it.
Very hard to drink.
You gonna wait til, fat boy,
Fat boy, wait until tomorrow

listen to their most recent CD "Diorama". not only is it shocking the direction Johns took the band in from the days of Tomorrow, it's really a masterpiece of a cd. perfect from start to finish IMO.

Anyone know what Silverchair is up to these days? It seems like its been ages since Diorama.
they are on a break or something. They didn't break up but decided to try other things for the moment. But they said that there is a good chance of them getting together sometime to do more work.

from Chairpage.com.....
As with most interviews, a lot of things which Daniel said actually got edited out of the final broadcast version. Unfortunately this included a question about Silverchair which would be of great interest to many fans. Before the interview aired we had promised that this question would be addressed so to make good on this promise here's what was said in the bit that didn't go to air ....
Denton: How are you with Ben and Chris now? Will Silverchair be a band again do you think? A lot of people wonder.
Johns: Yeah. I’m going to put the question to rest after I answer it, because it’s just … boring. Not that you’re boring.
Denton: No, no, it’s quite all right...
Johns: That question’s just asked and asked and asked and ... we will definitely be doing another album. I just don’t know when it’s going to be and as soon as you say that, the next question that someone asks you is going to be "when?"
Denton: I won’t ask you.
Johns: I don’t know when it’s going to be, but we’ll do another album. I really want to give this new project (The Dissociatives) its time and not have it just be a Silverchair side project, because it’s music that has really affected both of us. It has made so many things more possible. It’s an album that’s changed music for me and I didn’t think that I could make music that would change music for me.
Denton: Gee, you’re only 25 and you’ve gone so far musically! I think it’s always going to keep changing for you.
