It would be a hit...no doubt about it. It would be huge.\

3rd single - Life Wasted

4th single - Parachutes (I don't know why people don't like this song.....its fucking amazing)

no question it should be Marker in the Sand

Second choice is Come Back

Third choice is Severed Hand

Lif Wasted is a fine song, but I don't think it is different enough from WWS, and i don't think it would do too well.

I think from the promo picture I saw that either Gone or Life Wasted will be next. I think Come Back will be like Black, it will never be officially released as a single but will be one of their more recognized songs.

Life Wasted is the most immediate song on the album IMO.

No way does Come Back come anyway near Black in single worthyness. it's no where near as catchy. it's a great song, but an album track.

Keeping in mind that the 'best' song is not always the best single (but sometimes is...), I'd honestly be disappointed if Severed Hand, Marker in the Sand, and Come Back weren't the next singles...in that order. I do believe I expounded upon why in another thread.

Marker in the sand and Parachutes would be the best ones - by far. All my friends - especially those who previously disliked everything from Pearl Jam - loved Parachutes. I don't know the problems some "fans" seem to have with this song... it's just sooooo wonderful...
And even if there are some "fans" who appearantly dislike Parachutes, it would be IMO the only song from the new album which really would have the quality to bring the band new fans.
I think Life Wasted, even if it's most likely the next single, is too close to WWS. And I can understand that some guys here would love to see Come Back as the next single - I also like that song. But I am pretty sure, that 90 Percent of the radio listeners would either change the Chanal or fall asleep before the introduction of the song is over... too slow and boring to have any potential single Character. Nice though as one of the last tracks of an album.
