December 7th 1941 gave birth to the greatest generation of heros.
63 years later, more are being born.

A side note...if you haven't yet please do. Ask for Christmas or get for a friend "Band of Brothers" DVD mini series set. Something that every human being should experience at least once in their lifetime. Alright enough said....

how does a tragic attack on the US constitute the creation of heros?

Excellent series and DVD set for sure, I recommend it to everyone. The book and the series complement each other quite well.

But, a great many of the heroes of that war were fighting long before Pearl Harbor, man.

I've heard rumors that Hanks and HBO were working on a similar series that takes place in the Pacific theatre.

I forgot....almost anything you say can offend someone, because some of you easily get pissed off and don't have thick skin....so sorry, even the heros the couple years before pearl harbor also. And when I say a generation of heros was born on December 7th, 1941, I mean a whole wave of them, on that day and the days that followed in that time period. Common sense people...use it.

Wow, I hadn't heard that before, so I just did a search and it seems that they are working on that project. That's great.

RIP to all those lost on this day of infamy. And to all those who rose up in the ashes of that day to fight in WWII. You will never be forgotten, and will always be held as hero's in my eyes.

We shouldn't have waited so long, Pearl Harbor may not have ever happened.

My Gramps was all over SE Asia on battleships in the 40's. Go Gramps!

Some people just like to be dicks. Don't worry about it. The intelligent ones on the board know what you meant.

Say what you want with the war today...i can see both sides of the spectrum...but if you're saying it was wrong for America to join WW2...well then you have yourself a problem and I can't help you.
