Ed says that the name of "Pearl Jam" for the new album has been decided because that, choosing a new label, and buying a new place in Seattle for the band ... these 2 points makes them feel like it's a new beginning ... so they simply named the new album Pearl Jam

Let's hope for 6 more like the past!!!
The time way back when, I was spinning this pink album and the first notes then lyrics to a song I've come to love more than any other was "Black." No other song in my life has inspired me that much - (alive is a close second). Well I got that feeling once again - sorry if this is not how you felt - Come Back is the latest song to really inspire me, and its been awhile. And please don't misinterpret whay i'm saying because I love each and every album but it's been awhile seen them go full blast and almost capture everything we love about each album.

I know that this album is getting hyped but now i can see why. Each song has the ability to make an impression on one of us.
This album is gonna kick ass!!!!
Thanks to Pearl Jam for never failing to amaze me!!!

See you guys on 5/27-28 & 30, 6/1-2 - Hopefully get the whole album live and in the right style - 5 shows in 8 nights!!!

Easy big fella.

You're right though, this record is incredible, at the very least.

I just wrote this in another thread, but if the only point of a thread is to say something that can EASILY be said in an existing thread, especially one on the main page, PLEASE DON'T MAKE A NEW ONE. We have too much traffic and activity right now for that.

This could have gone in the talk about the new songs/album thread. It is a long thread but people read the most recent posts. Your brilliant insights will be acknowledged and there will be less sarcastic filler getting in the way by people frustrated by the redundency.

An example of a new thread started that was worth keeping can be found here. This is a topic no one has really talked about yet, and while it is also about the new record it's a different angle and worth having as a seperate thread

We're all excited for the new album but there are currently

13 threads devoted to indiviudal songs

1 general album discussion thread

1 fan review thread

several threads for people not listening to the leaks

a thread on how it will be critically recieved

Chances are pretty good one of these places will work for you.
