Slip on clean clothes,
the kind never touched by a cell of sin.
Dip my fingers into a fresh river,
that isn't supplied by grey clouds.
Hear a guitar not playing the blues.
Walk through an ancient cemetery,
filled only with natural causes.
Speak a different language; find a congruent view.
Sleep on a bed of stars.
Dream in technicolor and surround sound.
Watch children play
without dark marks of love.
Ask a guardian angel on vacation
why she has nothing to do.
Climb the ladder to a power,
where answers wait on shelves.
Capture hatred in a tin can,
bottle pain in a mason jar,
take them both to an historical museum.
Buy a bubble maker for six billion neighbors.
Ride through streets filled with laughter.
Write a poetic equivalent to Stairway To Heaven,
and dedicate it to you.
Melt down the chains of poverty,
to mint new coins.
Celebrate individuality without fear.
Pray with appreciation and not needs.
