what an absolutely horrid series of movies here. the first 15 minutes of the first movie were good, then it was all straight downhill. it's laughable, really.

The first one is okay. Something of a fun watch, but it's really ridiculous and cliched. I can't say I say the second one.

i saw the first one in theatres actually.

like i said, the first 15-20 minutes was solid scary horror movie material. worked really well. but the main guy in it was a terrible, terrible actor and really helped to kill it for me. as soon as he decides to go down into that pipe, i was like 'oh, come fucking on.'

the second one is really, really bad.

they did have a little potential here, it just went really awry.

Yeah, the pipe scene is where it really becomes ludicrous. You're just sitting there going "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING, YOU STUPID FUCKING RETARD?!" I mean, most people wouldn't climb into a pipe they just saw a shadowy figure throwing fucking bodies into.

that's exactly how i felt. i can take only so much.

and the second one is pretty cliched too. i wouldn't bother with it unless you catch it on the sci fi channel.

I haven't seen the movies, but one of my sound teachers in film school did the sound design for Jeepers Creepers 2.

I watched the second one for some reason at like 1 AM last night on the Sci-Fi channel. It was just awful, but I got a good laugh out of it.

The makeup on the old dude at the end was just terrible. Whoever did it definately did it half-assed.

Same here. Unless you just happened upon it, why would you even watch the second one after seeing the first one? It's fun to watch and kind of laugh at I guess.

The normal rules don't apply here, I'll watch any shitty horror movie that I happen upon almost without exception. I'm pretty certain I haven't seen the second one though.

haha.

i happened to come across the second so i figured i'd give it a watch.

a huge flaw -- other than the movies just being terribly cliched and corny -- are that you NEVER get a clue of what the hell the monster is, how he got there...previous history. there's absolutely no development of him at all. all you know is there's a winged creature that feeds for 23 days every 23 years. other than that...

I could have dealt with no backstory on the monster, it's just the terrible execution that gets me. Actually, I liked the movie ok up until the point that we find out it's a monster, I like it better as just a man or person that we don't know. In the beginning it felt like "The Duel", which is much better than what it becomes.

well that's another good point.

as i said before, the first 20 minutes of the first movie are fucking awesome. there's some creepy ass bad dude, the scene is set well, there's a young hot chick, etc.

then the kid -- a terrible actor -- jumps down the pipe. come one! on top of that, finding out it's a monster kills a lot of suspense.

but i feel like even if you find out it's a monster at that point, even some backstory would have helped. the second movie is just so bad. you know what's going to happen as it happens.

Well it doesn't have to be the last c_b. Now you need to see a really good one. I'm going to give the standard Dawn of the Dead 78 plug here. :D
