The Grammys are a joke.

Also, I never understood the "new artist" category. If Kanye West is nominated for record of the year and album of the year, as well as like five other awards, isn't he obvious the best new artist? WTF?

What I hate about the Grammy's is that they take a look at only a selected amount of artists. They don't bother to look at some other artists that really could easily rock the socks off the other crap that the nominated. The whole process is biased. ugh...

Like Wilco in 2002 with Yankee Hotel Foxtrot . . . the midwest representative for the Grammy Nominating Committee basically quit because Wilco was left off (a crime if you ask me).

When are they going to officially rename the Grammy's the "Popular Music But Not Necessarily the Best Music Awards"?

Wow, it's been so long since I cared about how many records an "artist" sells that I forgot they gave out awards for it.

Oh wait, who cares? Any organization that gives Jethro Tull the Best Heavy Metal Album over Metallica is devoid of credibility.

this is the award show that gives Celion Dion and Phil Collins awards while ignoring quality,non-mainstream music. So atleast the good shit (like the new cd's from Morrissey,PJ Harvey and the late Elliott Smith)get the props in magazines.
