I'm just curious about this. ANYONE KNOW THE ANSWER? NO ELITIST TRASH OR NOOB TALK PLEASE.
I own a copy of the Hallucinogenic Recipies Box (ok, i still have the box, but someone stole the CD's, but then someone burned them for me)
... but I've seen so many people ask for these ... and there ... at one recent point ... was a Bad Radio fan site, and even they were looking for a copy to post ...
... does anyone understand why it is so fucking impossible to find these up on the net, or on bit torrent, or any such?
they aren't really "that" rare are they?
I mean they were sold in a commercialy available bootleg over 10 years ago ... shouldn't they be making the rounds pretty easily now?
Am i just dense?
Can someone site a link to them? Because i've looked to help others out and never come up with them ... and i'm too incompetent to seed a file.

They are not that hard to find. I see them on Oink, even as we speak.
isn't oink like that "other" damn BT site where you need a farging invite and there is like a 5 millenia waiting list for them?
that is uber-gei ... geier than using the term "uber" even ... especially without the umlaut.
it should be up on Piratebay or even TSIS or pj.sidewalkcrusaders or thecurrentswillshift or whatever ... it's really an attrocity that one of the main PJ fansites with download category or BT links doesn't have it up permanently.
it IS that hard to find ... if you aren't an Oink elitist.
but like i said, i have a, now burned, CD of it ... since some fuckers stole my original alley kat cds years ago! grr! how i miss that little yellow disc.

I'm pretty sure that some Bad Radio demos were on SWC at some point, but the nature of BT is that you have to jump on when the torrent is new. Over time, it slows down and then fades away entirely. They don't just sit out there forever.
Eventually it will pop up somewhere and honestly, asking for it will often make it happen.
If I were you, I'd join the board at SWC and make a request for someone to seed it.

i know what you're up to.
You are pretending to answer my thread,
but in reality you're just trying to kill it ...
because everyone knows that once the Mod has answered, the thread is moot.

Try Soulseek and ask around in the room 'Pearl Jam fans'.

ok.
my point is ... given how this is pretty much the root seed of all Eddie-ness ... IT SHOULD BE PERMANENTLY AVAILABLE FROM ONE OF THE PJ SITES ...
i appreciate that if someone sniffs around long enough they can find some one to send it to them ...
but it's like it's some sort of elitist find ... i mean ... EVERYONE should have the opportunity to easily access it ... it should be playable on Pearljamlive.com or somesuch ... it should be available on any of the many PJ fan site (especialy the fucking italian ones) that offer downloads ... and yet ... i am ALWAYS seeing people ask for them ...
which makes me wonder why noone is kind enough to permanently host them or somesuch ...

It's widely available through trade. It's available on some torrent sites, and it's been available on fan sites before. Not to mention many bootlegs. It is a pretty available and not to hard to get item. And frankly, I dont see too many people asking for it all that much.
And as for my personal opinion of these songs, they really are not very good, and are only interesting because of their place in Pearl Jam history. If not for their link to Pearl Jam, I would not even bother giving a listen.

i agree that the guitar is ungodly awful,
but eddie's vocals are, as always, yummy yummy.
and i really like Crossroads & Believe ...
on the whole it is kind've a fuked version of U2, i suppose.
and of course i fucking know it HAS BEEN available on fan sites before ... duh ... i would hope so after god knows how many years of it being feasible on the internet ...
thanks for your response though, oh wise master admin.
the tone and particulars of your response further reinforce my opinion of the attitudes and like that frequent this board.

i was just trying to discover why noone posted them more often for download. but i guess Buggy cleared that right up in his snot-righeous manner.

Dude, I dont know what's up with your comments. There was no ill intent for anything I responded to. Everything I said was pretty matter of fact, and was trying to help you out.
