Has anyone seen the Pilot for this show floating around HBO?
It's about a guy with three wives. (Chloe Sevigny (Kids), Jeane Tripplehorn (Basic Instinct, Waterworld) and some other actress) and they have three different houses and he takes turns sleeping with them each night.
Anyway he owns a chain of stores and in the first episode it turns out his mother, who he rarely talks to long with his father and brother, might be poisoning his father. (The mother is Susan's mother in Seinfeld).
I am new to HBO, so I watched it in anticipation that it might be the next BIG show...i doubt it will be.
thoughts?
ALSO: one of the daughters works at a fast food restaurant and she meets the girl from Napolean Dynamite there...who was also the little girl in Waterworld...did you know that? Unreal.

when you make a show on people as bland and boring as the mormons, it's not shocking that the show itself is bland and boring.
my girlfriend is mormon, non practicing. and we both concluded after the first episode if it did something other than fit perfectly to all the stereotypes, the show could have been interesting, but nothing really happens. and its just wierd and odd. just the way you'd think of polygamy. if it made it connect to the every day life, it would have been more interesting.

i gave it two episodes, didn't really care for it. Two of the wives are pretty hot, but the other one does nothing for me. The only reason i'll probably see more is that it follows the sopranos and i'm usually too lazy to change the channel.

I watched the first 2 episodes. I can't really tell if i like it or not. I like the chicks so i'll keep watching. My wife said she hated it but yet she watched both episodes the whole way through. There's something intriguibng about he show but i'm not sure what the hell it is.

It's not very interesting. It must take a really creative writing team from HBO to think up the wild idea of a guy with 3 wives having erectile dysfunction. Just think of all of the funny situations!
I think the only thing worth watching for, or listening for, is the intro song.

yeah there's no way i can get into a show after the sopranos is on. i need to let it sink in. besides the chicks aren't hot at all and apparently there's no fourway sex scenes! what gives?

I watched the first 3 episodes (it's the HBO free preview week, so i get free HBO On Demand for a few more days, W00T!). It's pretty boring, and by HBO standards pretty tame.
i like it. so does my wife. but i'm not so sure there's enough excitement to it. meaning, i don't want people killing each other, but it's just sort of slow sometimes...

Maybe if Chloe Sevigny gave Vincent Gallo a blowjob on the show it would spice things up a bit.

Here is the problem with the show.... in my opinion.
Most HBO shows give you some thought of "i wish i could...."
Sopranos makes you want to beat the shit out of some guy for fun and get away with it... Rome makes you think "damn, i wanna be a fucking gladiator".... Hell, even OZ may have made you think sometimes how cool it could be too concieve ridiculous plans to kill your enemies (no ass rape jokes- we all know- the show had a lot of cock and man ass- every joke has already been made)...
Big Love gives you NOTHING you could possibly want. Bill aint getting threesomes, hes has a strict schedule, he works all the time, his wives are crazy, he has zero connection with his kids, his dick stopped working.... with no end in sight... the show is just stressful- and makes you realize trying to take care of more than one wife is just no fun, and by extension, the show is no fun.

All your reasons for not liking it are all the reasons I do. Just watching all this unfold on this dude and knowing he brought all this on himself is very interesting. Plus I can't wait to see his son on the show get it on with his youngest wife, now if that is not interesting I don't know what is.

He's banging 3 different women and the women don't care. That's SOMETHING that I want
