Eds done it a few times I think.
Pinkpop 00
Chicago 03
Nashville 03

There all alittle bit different, but they are all amazing. The tags are what make that song, IMO.

I always thought, listening to the original, that there was so much opportunity to add vocals to this song....I love it!

I think I heard one where he sings

"I'll close my eyes
And run to you"

One of the greatest lines, IMO...

When I dream of you, your in my heart

The best is where he sings "Gooodbyeee! Goooodbyeeeee!"

Very moving.

Pink Pop 2000.
Vedder dedicates the song Light Years to a friend who passed away and no one in the band got to say Farewell. So this becomes their Goodbye. A sure fitting one at that. This is a really moving version of a great song.

The chorus is changed to:

"And where ever you have gone and where ever we might go. It don't seem fair, We all liked her here"

He tags the songs finish with:

" Goodbye, I love you. Goodbye". Repeated a few times.

It fits in with the song so well. Just like "We belong together" at the end of Black. Know what I mean? :P

Ok, Melbourne 2 had a great great extention to light years. He signs:

Oh, we remember you
Everyday we remember you
Remember
Instead.. we remember you

It was right after someone over at Synergy posted about their friend had commited suicide. It was a moving story, and I like to think that Eddie sang to her on that night because she was an australian. It's the best extented version I have heard. Go listen to it!
