The 13-track Wind-Up CD has cuts from Seether's three studio albums, including "Remedy" (a 2005 No. 1 entry on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart), a new mix of "The Gift" and a cover of Pearl Jam's "Immortality," the original of which peaked at No. 10 on the Mainstream Rock tally in 1995.
of all the songs..immortality! that's the golden nugget these guys have smeared.
theyre going straight to music-hell.

Even if I don't like the artist covering PJ I don't have a problem with it. Whether it be Seether, Staind, or Mariah Carey. They are showing respect for Pearl Jam and their music. What's wrong with that?
I don't like the band that much, actually like the song "the gift" i heard the other day on the radio, but picking a great one like Immortality gives them some cred in my book. The main problem is that it's another nu-grunge band that hasn't taken their love for their influences and done anything new with that love but almost copied them.
seether is okay. nothing extraordinairy. but obviously they were fans of the same type of music that most of us here adore. i like to cover songs of my favorite bands. me and my boys just happen to not do it all too well and we're not signed to a record label....so nobody cares if we play all the PJ or nirvana we want.......
let em do the song. maybe people will be like "wow thats a cool song...wonder who wrote that"

Nah.....its ok. They arent ruining that song. That song is amazing and if someone wants to cover it, its a compliment. I didnt like the dude from that one band's cover of Black, but the gesture was nice.

I hear the DJ talk about them on the X in Pittsburgh, but have never listened long enough to hear them. Normally though, the X doesnt play anyone who totally sucks.

I'm curious to hear it. I could see them doing reasonable justice to a PJ song, although I don't know if I'd have picked immortality
The first time I heard remedy I thought the guy sounded exactly like Kurt Cobain in the verses.
