adamdude: drums
fishbob: guitar

james woodberry: vocals
joe berry: our newly appointed bass player

bare in mind this whole thing was played, recorded and mixed by 14/15 year olds!
listen to it more than once and it seems better, oh yeah and the singer hits a couple of dodgy notes too lol

oh yeah and it was only like the 3rd time the bassist had played the song through, and i mean he'd never played the song before

i started a new thread because this recording is of much better quality than the ones previously posted. enjoy :)

when you play that riff, you need to take care that no one notices how boring it is. apart from that it's quite good. your singer could be better. drums are pretty good. the bridge (is something wrong she said) doesn't really work. and yeah, in the chorus, well make sure that the guitar doesn't sound too rushed. the bass is a bit dead.

yeah it was like the 3rd time the bassist had played with us so he wasnt really all that confident

i wasnt happy about the sound i got, im definitely not recording through the amp line-out next time
good feedback :)

yeah, just put an alright mic in front of your amp. recording through the line out usually makes it sound like a toy guitar with toy distortion.

i used a mic for the rhythm guitar, but the amp was turned down way too low. yeah the distortion just sounds like a really shitty crunch instead of the smooth tone i had running through which i was happy with

well use that experience to make it better next time. it's still okay. oh and when you ever play live (in may adam wrote?) make sure there's someone recording it.

Hey fellas,

That was a good cover - all you need is some Ed Vedesque type vocals and you'll be flying

Best of luck for the gig - I'll look forward to hearing it. Do you have any of your own songs written?

just think, if Margery Spread makes it big some day we can say we were there in the Release forum when they first got started. That'll make us 10 times cooler than we are now.
