While lying down recuperating from a night of which way too many beers had been drunk. I started remembering when Binaural came out and the amount of panic that this little gem of a song created on the old red-mosquito board.

Got me to thinking, does anyone hear any little hidden messages and meanings in the new album?

Come on all you amateur shrinks. Get your Dr Melphi brains into gear and see if you can get anyone to panic about the imminent break-up of the band or some other horrendous circumstance that this album is predicting to the trained mind.

God that Parting Ways shit was hilarious.

I swear you can hear Stone (or someone) say "Do it again?" At the very end of Of the Girl while the music is fading out.

yeah--I don't think this is about parting ways, despite the thread title. But I have no idea what he's talking about.

I'm not sure if this is on-topic or off-topic, but I love Parting Ways.

if the title is partingways, and the first post isnt about that, is it offtopic?

I'm trying not to think about this post.

I think maybe he means that maybe people were worried that Parting Ways could be a signal that the band was breaking up. When I heard it I figured it was about Eddie's marriage...but who knows.

I think what he's getting at, is that the song "Parting Ways" is implying a breakup of the band at that time. That when Binaural came out people thought that the song signaled the band's 'parting ways'

He is asking if the new record has any messages or implications like that people can question or speculate about.
