It's my understanding that he was cremated and the ashes were disposed of privately (undisclosed location).
Same for Linda McCartney and John Lennon.
Because of the droves of people that flock to Morrison and Hendrix grave sites, the standard seems to now be to not say where the ashes are released to avoid fans flocking to those locations.
