The David Letterman folks have courted Tom Brady for years. Why not? He's the quarterback of the winningest team in sports

did i miss something here?

That would be cool...but I still like the suggestion of my 6 year old god son who during last years Bills/Pats game just blurted out "hey, wouldn't it be cool if someone came out of the stands and cut off tom brady's arms and legs with a chainsaw."

Now, I shoud probably have been apauled at the statement...and calling up the FCC to complain about violent programming..but instead I found myself saying "yeah, that WOULD be cool"

He also was named Out Magazine's Sportsfox of the Year, a rare double crown for the Tom.

I wouldn't go that far, but I don't think it would be completely unreasonable to suggest that several QB's could have had similar success playing for the Pats the last few years.

Lemme guess, Raiders fan? Or maybe you're just pissed cause you're from CT and the Kraft family bascially bent you over and went medieval on your ass :P

If you ask just about anybody who knows football and isn't biased one way or another besides maybe Peyton(as much as I hate to admit it), Tom is the best all around QB in the league at the moment. Maybe he's not as flashy as some other players, but guess what, he knows how to win!!

i disagree with that, yes tom is obviously good, and he obviously wins, so im by no means putting him down, but peyton is easily better, mcnabb is better, mcnair when healthy is better, and i think pennington is just as good, just in a more conservative offensive system. favre maybe be older but he is still right up there, then the up and coming guys like leftwich have a lot more tools than brady does. a lot of qbs would win with his team, and again, im not trying to knock brady, i just think hes a good qb on the best overall team, but not the best qb by any means.

the Boston Red Sox are the real sportsmen of the year; as named by SI.

I hate the Eagles, but I'd have to say McNabb is having a better year than Brady.

Let's see - in the last year Tom Brady has lead his team to the Superbowl & a victory at that - he won his second Superbowl MVP award, he lead his team to break the longest winning streak in the NFL, and the team is currently 10 & 1.

Tell me again about the other QBs?
