Simmons kicks his Pearl Jam fandom up a few giant notches...

Shit, that was terrific. Comaparing Vince Carter intentionally sucking in Toronto to Binaural and Riot Act is the funniest thing I've seen all week. Simmons pwns.

Awesome.

Guy loves his Ten.

I also think it's funny how he hates STBC so much.

definitely a cool piece to read. don't be fooled tho, Simmons would tell you U2 is far superior to PJ any day of the week.

I thought the comparison was f--king stupid...but to each his own.

Really? I've read more than once him saying that PJ is his favorite band.

ah yes...I recall the piece where he went on for about 5,000 thousand words about how no pro athlete could compare to U2 (in his comparing bands/athletes articles), only to end the article by comparing his own career to U2.

check out bill simmons's latest article on espn.com's page 2. he incorperates pearl jam lyrics with playoff themes and teams. it's pretty interesting though you can tell he isn't a superfan as he has a few mistakes here and there.

It was a good read, but I put little stock in what he says ever since he picked DeSagana Diop as the most improved player in the league.

He's just got a vendetta against the Suns, that's the only explanation for not picking Diaw as MIP and picking the Lakers in 6.

Great article, if only because he slobbed on Mavericks' knob at the end.

Reggie Miller is pretty similar to PJ, as long as we're comparing bands to athletes.

You know, considering that they're both the greatest of all time.

You mean, similar in that neither one is the greatest of all time?

I won't even begin to listen to someone try to argue that PJ is not the greatest rock band of all time.

And therein lies the problem...
