North American Duran Duran fans will have plenty of opportunities to catch the group live during an ambitious 2005 tour of the continent.
The run kicks off in mid-February, and 40 dates are set, with a mid-April finale scheduled at New York City's Madison Square Garden. Tickets for most shows hit the box office this month, according to the band's website. Details are shown in the itinerary below.
The tour supports "Astronaut," the first studio album in 21 years from the original five-man Duran Duran lineup. The set, which features the single "(Reach Up for the) Sunrise," surfaced on Epic Records in October.
Duran Duran last toured the U.S. in the fall of 2003 to mark the group's 25th anniversary. The jaunt marked the first time that John Taylor (bass), Nick Rhodes (keyboards), Simon Le Bon (vocals), Andy Taylor (guitar) and Roger Taylor (drums) hit the stage together since 1985's Live Aid.

Duran Duran is good music? I could have sworn that they were among the worst of the worst fluff the 80's had to offer. Have you listened to what Simon's singing? Utter nonsense. But it's got a beat white people can dance too..so..

I heard "Ordinary World" on the "alternative" station's 80's and 90's hour, and that song alone is sooooooo sad and pretty.
but,I wouldnt call even their more upbeat songs "fluff".
And Astronaut is a strong collection of songs, from the feel good "(Reach Up for The) Sunrise" to the great ballad "Still Breathing".

Their music is not fluff. Duran just don't get the respect they deserve with their music.
As far as their new album, "Astronaut," I think it's awesome! I love the songs captainloveboat mentioned plus the one called "Nice." Love that one!
