Green Day are shite!
I took my niece to see Green Day - she is 13, as was the rest of the audience.
Pearl Jam make music for grown ups, I dont think you have to worry too much.
So you're 13 too

It wasn't supposed to be a new thread, I was supposed to be respoding to a point in the discussion regarding "promotion for the new album" where people where worried that PJ were going to end up like Green Day with lots of new young fans.
I must have messed it up as it appeared as a new thread.
My point was however that Green Day aim there sound at a younger audience (pop song singles) where PJ is a more mature body of work.

hey,
guys,
maybe you aren't noticing it because you're stuck with your heads in the ground, but Pearl Jam is always attracting younger fans, boys and girls.
Learn to live with it.
I agree, PJ will always attract new fans but this is just my comment on where their main focus is regarding the recent promotion.
My view is that they are doing lots of promotion to let existing fans know that they are back out there again not to specifically claw lots of new fans.
I base this on the programms that they have chosen to do, Letterman, Jools etc as opposed to Top of the pops etc.
