i liked this movie better when tom cruise was played by cary grant, john woo was played by alfred hitchcock, and the it was called "notorious"

Harley Davidson & The Marlboro Man It's such a car wreck that it's cool. Mickey Rourke still kicks ass.
Stone Cold Brian Bosworth as a FBI agent undercover in a Biker Gang. Very violent & Lance Henrickson steals the show.
Run Patrick Dempsey is a kid caught in a corrupt town. some of the best one liners ever.
Double Team Van Damm & Denis Rodman. If this movie had A list actors in it it would have been a huge hit.
Alien3 It's my favorite one after ALIENS.
The Lost Boys Yes it's cheezy, but it still kicks ass. BY FAR the best of the "Cory movies."
Blind Fury Rutgar Hauer as a blind ninja with a sword hidden in his walking cane. Do I have to say any more ?
2 Days In The Valley Passed off as a Quentin Tarantino rip off. (It's was in the can before Pulp Fiction hit theaters) Check it out if you like QT.
MI:2 Everyone hated John Woo's sequal. I would love to see a Director's cut with all the Woo violence put back in.
Trouble Bound Michael Madsen & Patricia Arquette. Kind of a precursor to TRUE ROMANCE.
most people I know preffered MI:2 to the first one. The original had an awful plot.
and who doesn't like Lost Boys?

So what drugs were you on when you saw the original?
The problems with that movie's script were very well publicized.

MI >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> MI:2
No no no, you're using the bitshift operator all wrong!
And all movies mentioned severely suck donkey balls. With the exception of Alien 3, which only sucks donkey balls compared to Alien and Aliens. Now Alien Vs. Predator sucks the aforementioned donkey in it's entirety and quite, quite thoroughly.

MI:2 was awesome as a movie, just not as a mission impossible movie... i would have loved it if more if it was just a rockin action john woo movie, but the plot just wasn't as intricate for mission impossible

I like that movie. Don Johnson is in it.
I'm sure other people love these movies to, but here are some movies I never hear anyone talk about that I love. Either that or I've actually heard many say they think the movies suck.
01. Guilty As Sin - If anyone thinks Don Johnson can't act they should watch this.
02. Rampage - Alex McArthur is underrated in my opinion. It may not be the best movie, but I like it.
03. Death To Smoochy - People can't seem to understand why I like this movie so much.
04. Nightmare on Elm Street: Freddy's Dead - Quite possibly my favorite Freddy movie. I love the NOES movies.
05. No Holds Barred - Hey, it's got Hulk Hogan, and I'm a wrestling fan.
06. Pay It Forward - It seems a lot of people really dislike this Kevin Spacey movie. I know it's not his best movie, but his performance is stellar as always. I like it.
07. Miami Vice 2: The Prodigal Son - Don't know about this one, but I imagine most don't love it. But it's MV and Don Johnson. I love it.
That's all I can think of for now.

Awesome action film starring Robert DeNiro, the guy from The Professional (forget the name), Sean Bean, a couple others. This is seriously hardcore action, not cheesy Brukheimer shit. There are 3 amazing shoot-outs, two incredible car chases (the second of which is 15 minutes long and may be the best I've ever seen); in another scene, an assassin threatens to kill a little girl playing on a playground; a guy gets his throat slit; a pretty figure skater gets blown away with a sniper rifle; frequent head shots, frequent shots of civilians getting mowed down at a marketplace. DeNiro is awesome (a bad ass ex-CIA agent), one of my favorite performances of his. The ending is equally grand, as there is no real explosive be-all, end-all shootout.
Straw Dogs
Peckinpah film starring Dustin Hoffman, made in 1972. One of the most self-indulgent films ever made, exposes male-chauvanism by forcing the audience to deal with it head on. A guy's wife gets raped (and enjoys it), a cat gets strangled, thugs besiege a house for 1/2 an hour, a guy nearly gets decapitated in a bear trap. Very crazy shit, but the film's message of violence is pretty clear.
The Player
Great, great Robert Altman film exploring the business side of Hollywood like no one else before. The cast is enormous, but Tim Robbins gives a fabulous lead as a guy who accidentally murders a screen writer who stalks him. The screenplay and direction is brilliant, and there are some great cameos.
Unforgiven
In 1991 Clint Eastwood made one of the greatest westerns of all time with Unforgiven. The performances are awesome (particularly Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman), but the weight of the story the depth of the characters is what really truly makes this a classic. Really explores personal fate, morality, destiny without coming off as cliche or hackney. Eastwood gave audiences an updated and very new look at the western genre, etc etc.
Sexy Beast
Some of you have probably heard of this. Ben Kingsley, who usually plays an absolute Saint (and hes amazing at it) is a ruthless gangster. He doesn't do normal ruthless things such as snapping necks and robbing banks, but he is just a huge asshole, and very good at it. As far as the film goes, its short and pretty to the point. This is a real British gangster flick, not anything by that hack Guy Ritchie. A former mobster tries to be hired for one last job (okay story's pretty cliche) but its executed very originally. Quite unlike anything I've ever seen.
Thirteen
Brilliant film that every couple who wants to have kids should see. Not only are teenage girls monsters (I should know, I have 2 teenage sisters), but so are parents, the schools, and the entire American consumer bullshit culture as well, and the film is absolutely scathing that regard. The direction gets kind of sloppy at the end, but the script is excellent. Not quite as shocking as Kids, but its falls in the same category. It isn't so much shocking as it is a wake up call. Holly Hunter is great (and theres a oddly placed nude shower scene of her as well, which I actually found to be somewhat brilliant, given the context of the film).
Ghost in the Shell
I wouldn't have put this on here if it weren't for Orpheus bringing up Akira. GITS is one of the best anime's ever, and maybe one of the best films I have ever seen. I forgot to put it on my top 25 list. Anyway, the film is set in the future Tokyo, but it weaves together an amazing plot of identity, corporate and government espionage, science, technology, information, and the human soul, all in 90 some minutes. The actions scenes are incrediblely brutal, and the story is paced very well. For the most part, it really questions the image of the self, etc. Oh yea, the animation is amazing too. I wish American films were this clever.
