When is saw the album available on iTunes this morning i couldn't help myself, i had to hear it... and have... and i liked what i heard BUT normally i would listen on my stereo with the booklet in front of me and really get into it.
As i sat listening i really missed that feeling... anyone else do/feel the same?

This is precisely the reason I have avoided the songs. I want the album in my hands and the songs pumping through my home stereo the first time I hear them, alone and with no distractions. There are only a handful of bands I give the special treatment to, and PJ is a the top of the list.
Maybe this is just me, but there is something about experiencing music for the first time through a computer that makes it feel less special. Like it's just digital media, which is so commonplace and only a click away. This will smack of good ol' day syndrome, but compare this to how it used to be, to actually go to a record store to buy a new album by your favorite band, bring the album home, open the packaging for the first time, slipping the record out of its sleeve, and dropping the needle into the groove, having not heard the opening notes until then. Just experiencing it all as a complete package means something to me, and it means something to this band as well.
I will hang onto this ridiculously idealistic ritual as long as I can.

I think that's exactly what i was missing, PJ is top of the list for me as well. Truthfully i'm now a little disappointed that i dodged the leaks and everything and ended up taking an official release, albeit iTunes, route. I'll be soon returning to the "ridiculously idealistic ritual" that you speak of

The problem with that is you're missing out on a better version of Life Wasted.
