Keith Jackson in his prime has been by far my favorite.
Locally Larry Munson and Wes Durham are my favorites.
I know keith has been in decline over the past few years and I'm glad he's gone on to relaxation and retirement, but hearing his voice made me want to watch any game whether I gave a crap about the two schools in it or not. He certainly helped burgeon my passion for college football.
Cheers to Keith Jackson, enjoy the Mint Julips on your porch you earned it.

Im going with Eric Karros.
hahaha, seriously. He does some of the ESPN games.
they should have picked him over that bumbling a-hole Charlie Steiner and the ever-incompitent Rick "NEVER TELLS THE SCORE" Monday to do the Dodger games.
I was just about to say him. He and Ron Franklin, who typically does play-by-play on Saturday night college football games and college basketball as well, are the two best in their profession, if you ask me.

Oh and Vin Scully as well. I don't like the Dodgers but I'll listen to their games just for him. Maybe the only guy alive today that can pull off a one-man booth.

Jon Miller and Joe Morgan were good on ESPN Sunday night baseball. And I liked John Madden and Pat Sommerall too. Living in Scotland, I didn't get to hear many people. I always found Jon and Joe informative to listen to

I won't take a swat at you because you live in England, and probably don't know better, but Joe Morgan is one of the worst baseball announcers in the world. I don't think you could find 1 out of 10 regular baseball watchers that would give him a thumb's up. He's horrible. I'm assuming that because you live on the other side of the pond you're not exposed to much more than the national announcers.

Madden sucks, too.
Jon Miller as well. The guy adds nothing to the games I have seen him call. Him and Morgan together suck, I just put on the closed captioning if the Sox aren't playin a Sunday night game.

I always thought that Gary Thorne did a great job with hockey games.
Locally, i know alot of people can't stand both pairs that i am going to say, but i find both very entertaining. first pat hughes and ron santo on Cubs radio, and even though i hate the white sox, hawk harrelson and darrin jackson, they at least make the telecast entertaining unlike the cubs tv announcers
