What the hell was Young thinking when he tossed that bat at the umpire? Obviously he wasn't.... this guy's got all the talent in the world and now he'll likely be suspended for the remainder of the season. He will be awefully lucky too if the umpire doesn't press any charges against him. If you haven't seen the video yet, it can be watched here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wW0tuz3_Hgc&search=delmon

He'd better get at least 50 games for that. You simply don't attack officials in any capacity in any sport, it just isn't done. Not to go all Joe Buck, but that was a disgusting display.

i bet Mitchell would love to have him in a Rangers uni

too bad the bat didnt crack the ump in the head and knock him silly... a little blood wouldnt have hurt either... then he would have gotten the full season suspension he deserves... what a fuckin loser

Half the season sounds like a reasonable suspension.

Sitting out a year would do him some good.

It still pains me that the Sox never had Izzy Alcantera and Carl Everett on the team at the same time. Imagine the fun, they'd have to keep straight-jackets handy just in case.
