These are often my favorites, so just wondering. A couple at least, right?

On some of the songs it seems extremely pointless to have three guys strumming the same chords. Looks good on video though. :o

it's mostly on the songs ed writes. he wants to play them so they need to find something for all three of them to do. I don't think they really have any of them playing the same parts though

I sometimes feel that he just want to have something to do with his hands while singing...kind of protecting himself from something....hiding behind the guitar.

maybe. He always looks like he doesn't know what to do with himself when he's not actually singing. And the michael stipe solution wouldn't work well for him.

Any Astoria show goers should be able to help us out compiling a few more.

I'd imagine he plays on Gone too.

I meant on the new album, but I thought that was obvious. So at least two, eh?

 Sorry Nate, misunderstood you there. I've not heard the whole thing so I don't know about all of them, but we know he plays on Gone, WWS and Severed Hand. Any he wrote you can assume he plays on.

like stip said, definatly on WWS and severed hand because of SNL, but on severed hand he seemed to play the ebow and then put the guitar down till the end if i remember right.

the 10c liner notes say eddie helped write the music for inside job and comeback --if that's accurate he's likely on those songs too.

ed on guitar is one of my favorite things about PJ. have tons of respect for a frontman who can play. i'm curious to know which he plays on live as well. i will say that the bit with setting it down and then picking back up on SH kind of annoys me.

the groups three guiter combination on so many songs is what really attracts me to the group technically, a combination of three simple parts combined into one rich, complex one. i think this is especially evident on binarual, and I was a bit dissapointed that it didnt seem like it was taken atvantage of in the same way on riot act. i think they do a good job with it on army reserve (or at least it sounds like that technique to me)
