I'll admit it, i've been totally blown away by this new album, I never expected Pearl Jam to produce something of this quality...

Come Back has stood out for me, it's musically beautiful. The instruments are perfect and Eddie's vocals are just unbelievable...

I'm trying to figure out if this is the most moving Pearl Jam song since Black... It has the same feel, a lost figure... Someone close... This song had me choking back some memories...

I've not been moved by a song like this for a long time... I'm going to go out on one by claiming this the most beautiful PJ song... And this possibly the best album...

Anyone care to agree?

pretty much third best album (ten and vitalogy would rank higher IMO)

in terms of the song, black will always come out on top, but this is easily their best attempt yet at bettering it

of all the arguments you could've made that would've been valid, you ignore them and say Black has "more soul?"

Come Back is like an old 50s soul song with a wailing Mike McCready added in at the end

there's no way Black has more soul

Soul doesn't have to mean that it sounds like "classic soul music"... I beleive his interpretation of soul is more related to the passion and pain in Ed's voice, which I agree with FWIW.

I'm just personally not a big fan of old school R&B/Soul music which is what the music sounds like to me, Black just sounds like a Rock & Roll Ballad to me which is why I like Black infinitely more than Come Back.

Not that Come Back is a bad song though, obviously.

Come Back sounds like a late 50's song that would be played at a senior prom as a "last dance" type song. I really wasn't digging it at first, but its starting to grow on me. But that last dance feeling hasn't disapeared yet, and I don't think it ever will.
