FYI after this album there is no doubt in my mind that we are going to be introduced to a new group of pearl jam fans. Cd by Cd they'll find out what we already know eh? I remember this happened to me, I was probably about 12-13 when i picked up this album with a yield sign on it at best buy. It only takes one song to get hooked (NO WAY)!!! Forced to listen to Oldies with my mom in the car, this album made me need good rock. I wouldn’t be surprised to see No Code, Yield, Binaural, and Riot Act spike in sales...although I don't much like Riot Act : /
By the way Sad should have been the single on Binaural...didnt even make the CD. go figure

What is there to say?
I got into pearl jam through my 8th grade history teacher (his favorite song was Corduroy). I downloaded a few songs, and bought tickets to Mansfield 7-11-03. That is still the best concert I have ever seen. Needless to say, the show pretty much blew me away and after that i got all the albums as quickly as possible, and PJ was almost the only thing I listened to in 9th grade. Now, they're one of my top 5 bands, and I still listen to them quite regularly.

it definitely is easy to get hooked on pj, but i still dont see a lot of kids in my school getting into pj, because that might not be the cool thing for them to do and someone might like them less because of it
but i would love to meet another person my age that loves them as much as i do... its rare though, havent met one yet

I always liked them, but Vitalogy made me realize they were actually worth investigating, and basically opened up a lot of shit for me. I would say this album is anthemic enough to do the same for a lot of kids.

Definitely. I remember the first time I heard the chorus of Last Exit. Absolutely blew me away.

The only person I know in my high school who likes PJ is my English teacher - who was quite jealous that I got the new album before her, I'd like to add.

It's too bad the younger kids today aren't more into pj. The world would be a better place. When I was 14 everyone loved pj it seemed. Even though the first time I saw them play in 1993; i had bought my ticket the day before the show. Couldn't do that today.

I feel the same in some aspect because I don't want all my friends with awful musical taste to all of a sudden start thinking Pearl Jam or any of my other bands are the best band and are extremely popular. I kinda of like being one of the only ones and being able to talk to a few friends about how good our music is and how much everyone else's music sucks...haha i'm elitist. But at the same time, I want people to give PJ the respect they deserve and recognize what a great band they are. I don't think both of those can truly exist lol.
