Yeah, there was a funeral yesterday in my hometown, in Canada, strangely enough. Some young kid killed in Afghanistan. Apperantly when the procession headed out of town everyone downtown got out of their cars, no one honked or said anything, just bowed their heads. It's a pretty intense time right now.

mother fucker man.
everytime i hear wws i get so pumped up. all the sadness of getting the AP's death count every single day on the news wire leaves me and i feel like 'this is it. this is the song that's going to put me over the edge'
it's so easy to feel small in this world. ed's said it before. and i think he addresses it on this album. what can i do to vent my beliefs to the public in such a large place like new york city?
i don't know, but every time there's a death, it just bothers me. i don't really have any friends or family that feel the same exact way as i do, but god almighty, so i'm in a tough spot.
i really need to get in touch with my local green party and get involved again.

Do it. I think that's exactly what PJ wants out of this. Action by their fans. I'm not by any means an activist, far from it, but I admire you for even considering it. I think that's the best way to thank PJ for all they do, not by buying tickets and albums. If not, do it for yourself.

well i've been very involved before but since i've moved and got a new job, i've fallen off the map. it's amazing it took a song like wws to get me going again, but hey, it worked right?

No shit it hits home. It feels like Eddie is one of the only artists who vocally opposed the administration since the fucked up fake war began. In 2004, I was at work and was drifting through the casualties on CNN online. I noticed a face and realized that it was a roommate of mine in basic training. He was a great guy who always talked about his family. I wasn't really close to him and we didn't keep in touch after basic, but it was all too chilling to see his face in the many who have fallen for someone's fucked up crusade.
Not only that, my brother should be arriving in Northern Iraq. He's in the Army Reserves and is leaving his wife and kids back home. There are several songs on this album that hit home and I'm glad Ed's the one to tell the story.

Virginia?
Did you know this person? One of my coworkers went to Iraq for 10 months less than 60 days after his wife gave birth to twin girls. He got home safe, praise be to Allah, but I saw the stress on his family and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Yeah, SW Virginia. I did not know him.
