Any Jamheads out there know of a cheap place online or otherwise to get some super cheap frames for these odd size posters? You all know what I'm talking about. Doesn't have to be all fancy and glass and whatnot. I'm just basically looking for a frame and a piece of plastic to go over it . . . just like poster frames they sell at Wal-Mart.

Do Wal-Mart. That's the route I went
i have done that. there are just some odd shaped posters that i still have that i have no clue where to go. oh, the dilemna.
i have all my posters in wal mart frames - the ones with the thick black frames
the columbus poster fit in a 12x36, tall and skinny. i think the VFC posters should fit in that size, too, i'll just get some sort of matting to fill in the empty spaces - should look just fine

I just looked at Michael's last night. You can by the sides and build your own frame. They were black metal pieces and they had the 25" and 10", which is the sz. we need. It would cost like 18.98 + tax for one frame. There's no glass though and no back so I'm using foamboard for the back.

you can do that, but you will destroy your posters that way, spend the money, it's worth it...
People pay ridiculous prices to have their posters framed.
"Ridiculous" is relative, depending upon whether or not you are a collector. Some people see the posters as true art, and they treat them that way. Others put them up on their walls with tape or thumb tacks. If you want to frame on the cheap (i.e., if you don't care how long your poster will last, or whether the screening will flake off or if the paper turns yellow), go the cheap route. Maybe you won't care about it in a couple of years anyway.

i should. i've got my NIN kozik poster i need framed. its sitting in a tube for like 2 years now.
its always a good idea to get something framed decently. over time it can deteriorate, and i don't see why you'd want to just throw away art like that. besides, you can always frame it nice, and decide one day to sell it. you know ANY fan will pay you and then some for whay you put into it!

This is very true. I have Pearl Jam Prague 96 Ames that is worth at least 800 usd or i also have Pearl Jam Istanbul 96 that worths at least 700 usd.. Off course as i being a collector, wouldnt ever put the poster on a cheap frame. I rather spend a little more and have it safely on the wall....

These are the posters that I need frames for:
Axis of Justice poster signed by Tom Morello: 17.5" x 26"
Blue Evolution tour poster from 2000: 10.5" x 39" (oddest size of all!)
Ames poster from Little Rock '03: 19" x 26"
Ames poster from Uniondale '03: 18.5" x 24.5"
St. Louis Klausen poster (VFC): 9" X 24"
framesbymail works great. ships fast as well. i've put 9 PJ posters in their frames. choose the acid-free backboard.. cover is plexi so keep the poster away from sun when hung and it will last.
you enter specific dimensions so the frames fit perfectly...
