Watched this last night. Absolutely fascinating. I'm still trying to wrap my head around what these people call reality. I saw some of myself in the documentarian in the way I always felt bad about my brother (though he was nowhere near Stevie's level of fucked up). Just a slice of the endless cycle of poverty and stupidity in middle America. Anyone else seen it?

looks pretty interesting though i can't seem to find much of a plot on it. talk about it a little more.

I saw some of it, but was totally lost. That's what happens when you channel flip and catch the last half hour. I'd like to see the whole thing next time.

It's really the kind of thing you should just watch. Basically the filmmaker was a Big Brother to this troubled kid when he was younger, but he had to move away at some point and didn't have contact with the kid for 10 years. He feels bad and goes back to see him briefly and realizes that things haven't gone too well for the kid. After this brief visit he falls out of contact again for a couple more years, then returns to find that Stevie has been charged with molesting his 8-year-old cousin.
A lot of documentaries don't really have a 'plot' per se, but rather just an experience of someone else's reality, which I dig. It's not a very happy film, but I liked it.

Unfortunately, it's so elementary, and the big time investors behind the drive in the stock market aren't so stupid. This isn't the false economy of 2000.
