Just saw it last night.

Holy shit.

Actually, I watched Clerks and then TSOTL, quite a transition.
I loved it, but it was the first film to ever make me lose my appetite.

Oh no, I wasn't disturbed by it at all, some parts were just a little nasty. Who wants to eat popcorn when you're looking at a skinned, bloated corpse?

Excellent flick, one of the greatest thrillers ever made, if not THE greatest

The sequels sucked

".....I'd fuck me"

other than that, nothing to add, other than the exterior of his house/torture chamber was filmed about 10 minutes from my house in glenwillard, PA. they took one of my grandmothers friends house, fixed it all up, paid her a tidy sum of money, and filmed

I enjoyed Red Dragon. It doesn't even come close to SOTL, which is, indeed, one of the greatest thrillers ever made, but I thought it was a good movie.

Read the book. Now. Thomas Harris is a great writer.

The old "Red Dragon," an unabashedly 80's film called "Manhunter" (it was directed by the guy who did Miami Vice, if that gives you any clue) is fun times.

With Brian Cox as Lecter. Brian Cox rules. He's no Anthony Hopkins, but he still rules.

Oh, Michael Mann also directed "The Insider", "Heat", "Ali", and "Collateral", along with producing "Miami Vice". He's a good director.

Why not? Go rent it. It's so good. Not "Vanilla Sky" good, either. Really good.

I'll wait until I have someone's shoulder to huddle into, then I'll rent it.
