Man, one of the best movies I've ever seen. Fun stuff.

Also, does anyone here not like Miller's Crossing (also the Cohens)? I suppose that would need another thread.

I like both of those films, although I haven't seen Blood Simple in a long time.

Miller's Crossing just bored me for whatever reasons. The plot was unbelievably convoluted and I just wasn't absorbed into the film at all. The dialogue was too stylishly annoying. But whatever, I've known people who love it. It has its moments.

I like Miller's Crossing but Blood Simple was just boring and predictable to me.

I could see how it would be predictable if you knew it was about multiple murders and whatnot. The first time I saw it I didn't really know anything about it so I wasn't sure what to expect.

Probably my third favorite Coen movie after Fargo and Lebowski. I need to see it again though, it's been a couple years.

Is this the one where, to put together a clip to show to potential investors, they shot just the scenes that would be in the clip, to give the impression that the whole thing had been made already? That's pretty cool, IMO.

I enjoyed miller's crossing, the one scene when the dude is sleeping and a couple ruffians come by to off 'em and the old guy tears 'em apart was excellent.

First off, I ADORE Miller's Crossing. It's probably my second favorite Coen behind Fargo. Blood Simple is a damn fine movie too, and it's definitely the most serious movie the Coens have made. The finale is masterful.
