The La Liga-match between Real Madrid and Real Sociedad(soccer) was called off with three minutes remaining due to a bomb-threat. One of the people who worked at the stadium notified the referee, and he sent all the players off the pitch immediately. The score was 1-1 at the time.
ETA is believed to have been behind the threat.
This world is getting more unsafe with each passing day sadly

There was a foiled bomthreat to the Trafford centre in Manchester last season and there were rumours that their match against Liverpool was gonna be targeted, although it seems to have been a rumour. Could have stopped us winning the title at the lane bearing in mind we only drew. Ofc ourse it matters more that terrorists are scum and there's worse damage they can do than calling a game off. I dunno about this Madrid one though, Madrid were only drawing, and bearing in mind that ETA hate Real because of the government keeping them afloat, at 1-1 in a game Madrid should win, would ETA really do a bomb threat so close to the end?! Sounds to me like it was a Madrid fan doing a hoax.

I was reading an article about it, either on BBC Sport or Soccernet.com, that said about a week before that had a big Basque separatist sting in the Basque region of southern France, and they found evidence suggesting a potential threat to the Bernabeu. I'm sure that there's a ton of threats made each game to the Bernabeu, but there must've been something about this one that made them take such extreme measures.
Again, it's so sad that terrorists act this way. Sometimes I think that sports is one thing in which people can always find common ground in, and yet crap like this still happens...

I know, but as the no-lifers keep telling us, football fans are the worst thing since mouldy bread and football can only divide people...
