Pretty good, although I wonder how they could produce the thing only to have the lawyers decide not to air it after the money was spent.

Unless they did it purely to get an internet buzz on it.

i can't remember if i saw it on one of the streaming news video sites or if it was actally on tv, but i know i've seen this commercial more than a few times. its annoying as hell after the first couple of views.

i seen that commerical a few times on G4 Tech TV up here in Canada, aswell on Much Music.

I don't think it was actually banned, Microsoft was just afraid to show it in the states. My guess is that they are trying to sell the system as a mainstream sort of system that appeals to everyone, and the implied violence of the ad could scare away some people. It is kind of strange considering they probably spent a shitload of money on it, then had a change of heart.
