Dont get me wrong the new album is really good, really rocking and i'm no where close to being bored of it yet but........

Its nothing different is it? Its not really that unique. The same happened with riot act. I thought it was really, really good when it came out but now its just average compared to all the other pearl jam albums. With albums like Binural, No code and vitolagy you know you will never get board, thats because there something different about them, something unique. When pearl jam bring out their next album i hope its really strange and it takes me months to get in to it, that way i know i'll love it forvever.

I've listened to it almost everyday since it came out. So I'm thinking yes. But I really don't listen to studio albums anymore, all boots.

every album requires a break sometimes. There isn't a single PJ record (or any record) I can listen to over and over again no matter what. That's what makes the boots so great.

I don't think this is a problem unique to PJ.

I think the reason you got tired of Riot Act is just that the songs aren't as good as most of their other records.

so far everytime i think about starting the album over again when it ends im not sure. do i listen to vitalogy, no code, vs. etc.? then i do it and everytime LW's opening riff kicks in...
I just can't get sick of it...yet.
at this point the only PJ album i have trouble listening to all the way through is Ten even after long layoffs it still seems a bit stale these days. Great album but the songs seem better on there own or in small groups not from album start to finish IMO But that also has to do with the fact that its been 14 friggin years since i first popped it into my car cassette player.
14 F'in years!!!!! can't believe it...

I feel old

Actually it did a bit, save you filled me with quite a bit of excitement.

This new album has shit loads of quality tracks on. It has the best intro song since last exit on it in 'life wasted' and the best outro song since indifference in 'inside job'

At least for me, no record since vitalogy caught on with me this quickly. So while I'll need a break eventually, so far so good. I've even tried to stop listening a few times to go to other things and Avocado drew me back.

LW agreed
Inside Job not so much
I like it but think Immortality and Around the Bend are better

I suppose its a good sign that i find myself getting a new favourite track on a weekly basis, currently its severed hand. They played that on jools holland over here, did you yanks see any of that?

Oh its not that good normally. Jools holland is a prise gimp. But its PJ's first TV appearnce in the UK since the TEN days i think. At first i was dissapointed they played severed hand i would have prefered something else, but now i can slap the video tape around my face to remind me how i wrong i was.

eventually, everyone will realise that its just as bad (if not worse in its lack of creativity) as the abortion that was riot act, and everyone will slag it. this album has been so overly hyped by complete fools, and funnily enough when most people hear it, after everyone saying its the best pj lp ever, they think its shit. what a suprise.
i dont remember this much hype for a pj lp for fucking ages, although i do remember ALOT of people attacking me over my massive dislike for riot act, and now look what happened - everyone realised it was shit after a while.

Mac and Me is a terrible movie, therefore I can't agree with you.

Why'd you pick that avatar?
