My brother just got this dvd (we had it on tape but it got erased and after a six month standoff, he bought it 8) ) and I was just wondering who else has it and what your thoughts are. I fucking LOVE it, George's Beatles- and post-beatles for that matter- songs are my favourites... :luv: Clapton does some sweet work on it too.... While my guitar gently weeps
Only bad part is Ringo's air drumming :x which makes me want to pillage and murder.

I thought it was great but had one flaw. In the bonus interviews Danny Harrison talks about looking behind him and seeing 2 - 3 drummers ect. I think they went overboard on the amount of musicians on stage at once. There is no need for 5-6 guitars on one song.

Yes, I agree totally. Too big a band. If Ringo isn't a good enough drummer that you need that bald guy to drum, don't stick Ringo behind the kit next to him playing the same fucking thing. Same for guitars. Get the no-names off the stage who are taking up space; Andy Fairweather Low, I'm lookin' at you.

Do I need to say that I have it, or have you figured that out?

Very true. And seeing that little :luv: next to Clapton's name warms my heart. :P

I'm not a big AFL fan either. I tried especially since he's the god father of one of Eric's children.

He's good though, but I'm much happier with Doyle Bramhall II being in the band.

I'd figured as much. I really enjoy Clapton on this dvd more than his own  but I'm a much bigger George fan that an Eric fan so it makes sense.

I enjoy him more on his own because then there is more of him to see especially some sweet solos, but I love this dvd.

Beware of Darkness...

 I didn't know that! Now I'm even more convinced that he's trying to become Clapton.

LOL, yeah it's true. Maybe Eric learned that AFL was trying to take over his life and gave him the boot.

Beware of Darkness = much :luv:

He must have. Though to be honest, I'm surprised it didn't occur to him earlier. It's pretty damn obvious!

I love the concert, too, but I agree with you on this. It was like they were trying to pull of Spector's "Wall Of Sound" production style in a live setting. Great performances though, regardless.

Aside from the fact that Bob Dylan wasn't there, it's a really fantastic show.

I've seen it; It was "okay".

Danny's appearence is a huge echo of his father's youth.

Word! Doyle is the closest to a Jack Bruce or Duane Allman foil that Eric has had in a long time. It's good for him plus he really enjoys Doyle's work. It helps keep it fresh I suppose.

Jeff Lynn's participation was very good for the most part.
